Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
– Inspect, diagnose, and repair groundcare machinery, including commercial lawnmowers, greens mowers, fairway mowers, tractors, hedge trimmers, strimmers, and other related tools.
– Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance to extend machinery lifespan.
– Carry out cylinder grinding to a high standard.
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
– Ensure all machinery complies with safety standards and operational guidelines.
– Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts used.
– Provide advice and support to operators on the proper use and maintenance of machinery.
– Respond to service breakdowns and perform repairs on all grounds care machinery.
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a mechanic, preferably with groundcare or turf machinery.
– Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
– Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematic diagrams.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Relevant mechanical qualifications or certifications (desirable but not essential).
– Full UK driving licence.
